My love for animals runs long. Growing up, my Aunt and Uncle had a farm in Tottenham with horses, pigs, cats and a dog. I loved visiting and being with the animals!! In my High School years, my Mom and I tried our hand at raising and showing Shetland Sheepdogs. I was in love! I had finally found my passion - dogs and showing them.
The Shelties are gone - Ace died July 7 ,2007. Fast forward to married life and my husband and I knew there was something missing from our lives. We found an Australian Shepherd breeder close to us and we went to see a pup she had for sale. I didn't go thinking I was going to get the pup, I went to see one breed. Well, I fell in love with that blue merle bundle of fur. So entered Tucker into our lives. Tucker has taken us into the world of dog showing and herding trials. I knew as soon as I stepped back into the ring that the dream of having another kennel would rise up....and it did. I waited three long years for my little red spitfire - Holly.
Holler Aussies got it's start thanks to the faith of two very special ladies who trusted me with two outstanding puppies.
We are a small kennel that started with our foundation male in 2011. We added our foundation female in 2014. We show, raise and breed Australian Shepherds. You can find us in the conformation ring at CKC shows. And, now in 2018, thanks to Hearthside Aussies, we will also be in the AKC and ASCA show rings.
Members in good standing with the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club), ASCA (Australian Shepherd Club of America) and CNASA (Canadian National Australian Shepherd Association)- where I am the Treasurer.
We feed raw food to our dogs. Ask for more information - this is a food that is good for all life stages from puppy to senior.
Puppies are born and raised in our kitchen using Puppy Culture protocols. They will be used to all sorts of noises and people. Our dogs are our family.
Come on in, have a look around and please ask us questions.
